What Algonney will never ask you for

• Algonney never asks for a seed phrase, recovery phrase, or wallet private key. Nothing in the product needs one. Anyone asking for one while claiming to be Algonney is attempting to steal from you.
• Exchange API keys must stay withdrawal-disabled. Connect keys with trading permission only, and never enable withdrawal permission. See exchange API key security for setup guidance.
• Never send funds to an address someone gives you. No member of Algonney staff will ask you to transfer crypto to a personal wallet address for support, verification, “unlocking” an account, recovering losses, or activating a bot.
• Algonney staff will never ask for your password or your two-factor codes.

How to spot an impersonator

• The domain is not in the list above — check for altered spellings, extra words (e.g. a hyphen or an added term), or a different suffix.
• You are asked for a seed phrase, private key, password, or 2FA code.
• You are asked to send crypto to an address, or promised guaranteed or risk-free returns. Algonney does not guarantee profits.
• You are contacted on a messaging platform by someone claiming to be Algonney support. Our support runs through the site and support@algonney.com.
• There is urgency or pressure — “act now”, “your account will be closed”, “limited spots”.

Reporting a fake site or account

If you find a website, profile, or email impersonating Algonney, report it to security@algonney.com. Include the exact URL or account handle, a screenshot if you have one, and how you came across it.

If you believe you have already shared credentials or sent funds, contact your exchange immediately, revoke any API keys you created, and email security@algonney.com. Our responsible disclosure policy covers security research reports.

• Type algonney.com directly rather than following links from ads, DMs, or search results you do not recognise.
• Check the connection is HTTPS and the domain matches exactly before signing in.
• Bookmark the real site once you are on it, and use the bookmark thereafter.
