Paper trading
Paper trading runs your strategy with virtual money on live exchange prices, so you can see how it behaves in the current market before you risk real funds.
The same engine as live
Paper and live bots share one code path. Only the broker differs: virtual money instead of your exchange account. A paper bot uses the chosen exchange's own live data and its rules for fees, order steps, leverage and risk tiers, and it follows the same stop loss and guard rules as a live bot.
Compare with your backtest
Paper trades use the same trade view as backtests and live bots: entry and exit reasons, raw and executed prices, fees, funding and results. That makes it easy to compare what the backtest expected with what the market really did.
Moving to live
When you are ready, a paper bot can go live with the normal confirmations: an exchange account with a trade-only key, an allocation and a fresh two-factor code. Your plan sets how many paper and live bots you can run at the same time.
